A thin layer of enamel is gently removed (often less than a millimeter). Digital impressions are sent directly to our on-site lab. Temporary veneers protect your teeth while your permanent set is crafted.

Typically less than a millimeter — about the thickness of a fingernail. For ultra-thin veneers, even less may be needed. Our prosthodontist always takes the most conservative approach possible to preserve your natural tooth structure. We also offer no prep porcelain veneers.
No. High-quality porcelain is naturally stain-resistant. Unlike natural enamel, porcelain veneers won’t yellow from coffee, tea, wine, or tobacco. That said, the cement at the edges can pick up stain over many years, which is why good hygiene and regular cleanings matter.
Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel removal, so they are considered a permanent treatment. Once placed, you will always need veneers or a similar restoration on those teeth. Ultra-thin or no-prep veneers require minimal to no enamel removal and may be reversible in some cases.
With proper care, porcelain veneers typically last 10–15 years. Some patients keep theirs even longer. Regular dental checkups, good oral hygiene, and avoiding habits like chewing ice or opening packages with your teeth will maximize their lifespan.
Most dental insurance plans do not cover purely cosmetic veneers. However, if a veneer is placed on a damaged tooth, part of the cost may be covered as a restoration.
