Island Dental accepts most major dental insurance plans including Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, United Healthcare, Guardian, Humana, BlueCross BlueShield, and many union plans (SEIU, CSEA, UFT, NYSUT, Teamsters, FDNY/NYPD). No problem. We offer the Island Dental Advantage Plan — $545/year for general coverage or $645/year for periodontal coverage. It includes exams, cleanings, X-rays, and discounts on all treatments. No waiting periods, no claim forms. We also offer 0% financing with a 96% approval rate, subject to credit approval.

Yes. 0% financing is available through CareCredit, Cherry, Sunbit, and HFD for qualifying patients. Plans range from 3 to 36 months at 0% interest. Extended plans up to 72 months are also available. All financing is subject to credit approval.

Yes. Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts are accepted as payment at both Island Dental locations. These pre-tax dollars can cover most dental procedures — exams, cleanings, crowns, implants, and more.

Estimated copays and patient portions are typically due at the time of service. Our team will review your benefits and explain your estimated out-of-pocket cost before any treatment begins — no surprises.

Yes. We file all insurance claims on your behalf and follow up on any outstanding claims or denials. We also appeal denied claims and fight for your coverage. You shouldn’t have to deal with paperwork — that’s our job.

We have a 96% approval rate across our financing partners. We work with CareCredit, Cherry, Sunbit, and HFD — each with different approval criteria. We have all the options and credit levels covered. If one partner doesn’t work, another will.
