There Is More Than One Kind of Denture
The right option depends on how many teeth are missing, whether you want something removable or fixed, how much stability you want, your bone and gum condition, and your budget.
Full Dentures
Replace all teeth in the upper arch, lower arch, or both with a removable custom denture.
Partial Dentures
Replace several missing teeth while keeping healthy natural teeth in place.
Snap-On Dentures
A removable denture that attaches to dental implants for significantly improved stability.
Fixed Implant Teeth
A full-arch implant restoration that stays in place and is removed only by the dental team.
Many Denture Services Can Happen the Same Day.
Our on-site dental laboratory allows Island Dental to fabricate, adjust, repair and reline dentures without routinely sending cases to an outside lab.
Complete Tooth Replacement — Made for Your Face and Smile
Full dentures replace all of the teeth in an upper or lower arch. Tooth shape, shade, gum color, bite and smile position can all be customized.

Same-Day Dentures Made On Site

- On-site lab adjustments

Replace the Teeth You’re Missing — Keep the Teeth You Still Have
Partial dentures are designed for patients who are missing several teeth but still have natural teeth that can be maintained.

Acrylic Partial
A versatile removable partial that can replace several missing teeth and can often be modified over time.

Vitallium / Metal Framework
A strong, thin framework designed for durability and support.

Flexible / Valplast
A lightweight, flexible option designed for improved esthetics in selected cases.

Nesbit / Small Partial
A compact partial option for replacing one or a small number of teeth in appropriate cases.
Want More Stability Without Giving Up a Removable Denture?
Snap-on dentures attach to dental implants, helping reduce movement while eating, speaking and smiling. The denture remains removable for cleaning.
- Implant supported
- More stable than a traditional denture
- Removable for cleaning
- Less reliance on adhesive
Looking for a Denture Alternative That Doesn’t Come Out?
For patients who want maximum stability, multiple implants can support a fixed full-arch restoration. This option is commonly described as All-on-X or full-arch implant teeth.
- Fixed in place
- Implant supported
- No denture adhesive
- Designed for high stability

Types of Dentures FAQs
Island Dental has an on-site laboratory and provides same-day denture, partial, repair and reline services in appropriate cases. Exact timing depends on the treatment required and scheduling.
Many cracks, breaks, loose-fitting dentures and other problems can be evaluated by our team and may be repaired or relined in the on-site laboratory.
A snap-on denture is a removable denture that connects to dental implants through attachment components. It generally provides greater stability than a traditional removable denture.
An immediate denture is prepared before teeth are removed and inserted at the time of extraction. This allows the patient to have teeth during the healing period. Adjustments and relining are commonly needed as the mouth heals.
A full denture replaces all teeth in an upper or lower arch. A partial denture replaces only some missing teeth and is designed around natural teeth that remain.
A snap-on denture is removed by the patient for cleaning. Fixed implant teeth remain attached and are removed only by the dental team when necessary.
