What We Repair

Do Not Throw Away a Broken Denture.

Bring the denture and any broken pieces with you. Many common denture problems can be repaired or adjusted through our on-site laboratory.

01

Cracked Dentures

Cracks in the acrylic base can often be repaired before they become a larger fracture.

02

Broken Dentures

If the denture has fractured into pieces, bring all pieces with you so our team can evaluate whether it can be repaired.

03

Broken or Missing Denture Teeth

Chipped, worn, or missing denture teeth can often be replaced without remaking the entire denture.

04

Loose Dentures

A reline can sometimes improve the fit when the gums and jawbone have changed over time.

05

Partial Denture Repairs

We evaluate broken acrylic, teeth and other common problems affecting removable partial dentures.

06

Denture Adjustments

Sore spots, pressure areas and bite concerns can be evaluated and adjusted by the dental team.

The Island Dental Difference

Your Denture Does Not Leave Our Office.

Many dental offices send repairs to an outside laboratory. At Island Dental, our dental lab is on site. The dentist and laboratory technician can evaluate the denture together, make the repair, and make additional adjustments when needed.

1D

Same-Day Repair

Many repairs can be completed the same day.

RL

Relines On Site

LAB

Direct Lab Access

Your dentist and technician can communicate directly about your denture.

GO

No Outside-Lab Delay

Your appliance does not need to be shipped away for routine repairs.

What Does Your Denture Need?

Not every loose or damaged denture needs to be replaced. We first evaluate whether a repair, reline, adjustment, or new denture makes the most sense.

ProblemCommon SolutionWhat It Does
Crack or fractureRepairReconnects and reinforces the damaged denture
Broken denture toothTooth repair/replacementRestores the missing or damaged denture tooth
Denture feels looseRelineRefits the inside surface to better match your gums
Localized sore spotAdjustmentRelieves specific pressure areas
Repeated breaks, worn teeth, poor fitReplacement dentureCreates a new denture around your current mouth and bite
Denture Relines

Denture Loose? It May Need a Reline.

Your gums and jawbone can change after teeth are lost. Even a denture that originally fit well can become loose as the mouth changes.

A denture reline reshapes the fitting surface of the denture so it better adapts to the current shape of your gums.

A reline can improve fit, but it does not correct every denture problem. If the teeth are badly worn, the bite is incorrect, or the denture has been repaired repeatedly, replacement may be the better option.

Simple Process

Bring It In. We’ll Take a Look.

1

Bring Your Denture

Walk in or schedule a visit. Bring the denture and all broken pieces if you have them.

2

We Evaluate It

We check the damage, fit and condition and explain whether repair, reline or replacement is appropriate.

3

We Repair It On Site

Our laboratory completes the approved repair or reline right here in the office, with same-day service for many cases.

When Repair Is Not Enough

Sometimes the Better Fix Is a New Denture.

A repair can solve a specific problem, but it cannot always correct an older denture that is worn, repeatedly breaking, poorly fitting, or no longer supporting your bite and smile properly.

Same-Day Dentures Made On Site. If replacement is recommended, our on-site lab also makes full dentures and partials.

RX

Repeated Fractures

If the same denture keeps breaking, there may be a deeper fit or bite problem.

WT

Worn Denture Teeth

Worn teeth can change chewing, appearance and how the upper and lower dentures meet.

FIT

Major Fit Changes

If a reline cannot predictably correct the fit, a replacement denture may be more appropriate.

Common Questions

Denture Repair & Reline FAQs

How long does a denture repair take?

Most repairs are completed the same day — many within a few hours. Complex repairs or full remakes may take longer, but our in-house lab is significantly faster than any outside facility.

How much does denture repair cost?

Simple repairs start at $99. Cost varies based on the type and extent of damage. We provide a clear estimate before starting any work. Insurance may cover a portion of repair costs.

When should I replace my denture instead of repairing it?

If your denture has been repaired multiple times, no longer fits well despite relines, or is significantly worn after 7–10 years, replacement is usually the better investment. We’ll give you an honest assessment.

How often should I get a denture reline?

We generally recommend a reline every 1–2 years, or whenever your denture starts feeling loose. Your gums and bone change shape over time, and a reline restores a snug, comfortable fit.

Do I need an appointment for denture repair?

Walk-ins are always welcome for denture repairs at both our Franklin Square and Levittown locations. For complex repairs or relines, scheduling ensures we can dedicate the right amount of time to your case.
