A Fixed Set of Teeth Supported by Dental Implants.
Full-arch implant treatment replaces an entire upper or lower arch using multiple strategically positioned implants that support a connected set of teeth. This approach is often called All-on-4 or All-on-X, depending on the treatment plan.
- Fixed implant-supported teeth
- Upper arch, lower arch or both
- No denture adhesive
- Designed for improved stability
- Custom smile and bite design
- Zirconia final restoration options
Qualified Patients Can Receive Fixed Temporary Teeth the Same Day.
When implant stability and other clinical factors allow, temporary fixed teeth can be attached on the day of the implant procedure. These provisional teeth allow you to leave with a smile while the implants heal and integrate with the jawbone.
- Extractions when needed
- Implant placement
- Temporary fixed teeth
- Healing period
- Final zirconia restoration
- One coordinated treatment plan

From 3D CT Planning to Final Teeth.
Consultation + 3D CT
We evaluate your teeth, bone, bite and smile goals and discuss whether full-arch treatment is appropriate.
Implant Procedure
Teeth are removed when necessary and the planned implants are placed. Sedation options are available.
Temporary Teeth
Appropriate patients may receive fixed temporary teeth during the healing phase.
Final Restoration
After healing, your final teeth are digitally designed and completed through the restorative and lab workflow.
Your Final Teeth Are Designed With the Lab Right Here.
Our on-site digital lab allows the restorative doctor and laboratory technician to work together on your full-arch restoration. The scan, digital design, bite, tooth shape, shade and final restoration can be coordinated within the same practice.
- Digital scanning
- CAD design
- PMMA temporary teeth
- Zirconia final options
- Direct doctor-to-technician communication
- Adjustments coordinated on site
Not Every Full-Arch Case Is the Same.
The number and position of implants, need for grafting, temporary-to-final sequence and type of final restoration are determined from your anatomy and treatment goals.
All-on-4 / All-on-X
Multiple implants support a connected fixed full-arch restoration. The exact number of implants is based on the treatment plan rather than a one-size-fits-all formula.
Zirconia Final Teeth
Zirconia may be selected for the final restoration because of its strength, polish and natural-looking finish.
Implant-Supported Denture
For patients who prefer a removable option, implants can also be used to stabilize a snap-on denture.

3D CT Planning
Detailed imaging helps evaluate bone, anatomy and potential implant positions before treatment begins.
Specialists on Staff
Periodontal, surgical and restorative providers can coordinate your care within the practice.
IV Sedation Available
Sedation options are available for appropriate patients undergoing more extensive treatment.
On-Site Digital Lab
Temporary and final restorative work can be coordinated directly with the laboratory team on site.

Full-Arch Implant FAQs
Full-Arch Restorations, Explained
What Is a Full-Arch Restoration?
A custom, lifelike prosthetic that replaces an entire set of upper and/or lower teeth.
How Does It Work?
The restoration is anchored to the bone with dental implants, usually 4 to 6 per jaw, and is typically only removable by a dentist.
Why Choose Implants?
Implant-supported restorations offer the strength, durability and appearance of natural teeth — a major improvement over dentures or partials.
When Is It Appropriate?
One of the most effective options when you want to regain the function and look of natural teeth across a full arch.
What Is the “Transition Zone”?
The transition zone is where your full-arch restoration meets your natural gum line, and it’s usually visible in a wide smile. Your doctor considers it carefully when choosing the type of restoration that’s best for you.
There are three types of full-arch restoration: FP1 shows only prosthetic teeth, with your natural gums visible when you smile; FP2 includes a small amount of prosthetic gum; and FP3 includes full prosthetic gums, so your natural gums aren’t visible when you smile.
Your doctor recommends the right option based on how wide your smile is, the size of your jawbones, the symmetry of your face and your transition zone.

See Teeth-in-a-DayAll-on-X (including All-on-4) is a full-arch tooth replacement system that uses four or more strategically placed implants to support a fixed, natural-looking set of teeth. It’s ideal for patients missing most or all of their teeth. Call (516) 565-6565 to schedule an evaluation.
All-on-X is a permanent, stable full-arch restoration that doesn’t shift or need adhesive. Unlike dentures, the implants help preserve jawbone and restore stronger chewing.
Most patients missing several teeth or wearing dentures may be candidates. Even patients with bone loss often qualify thanks to angled implant placement. A full exam and 3D scan will confirm.
Many patients receive a temporary fixed arch the same day implants are placed. After healing, a durable final prosthesis — often zirconia — is delivered.
The implants are designed to last decades with proper care. Cost depends on the number of implants, materials and any additional procedures. We offer transparent pricing, 0% financing and flexible payment plans. See dental implant cost.
All-on-4 uses exactly four implants per arch. All-on-6 uses six. More implants provide better distribution of chewing force and a stronger foundation. At Island Dental, we place more than four implants per arch in most cases for optimal long-term results.
Full arch implant cost depends on the number of implants, whether bone grafting is needed, and the type of final restoration. We provide a full cost breakdown at your free consultation. 0% financing is available with a 96% approval rate, and insurance may cover a portion. Credit subject to approval.
In many cases, yes. We place a temporary set of fixed teeth the same day as your implant procedure. You leave the office with a complete smile. Your permanent zirconia restoration is placed after healing is complete, typically 3 months later.
Most patients with multiple failing teeth, severe decay, or current dentures are candidates. We evaluate bone density, overall health, and goals during your free consultation. Bone grafting can address insufficient bone in many cases.
The titanium implants can last a lifetime. The zirconia restoration is extremely durable and designed to last 30+ years. With our in-house lab, replacements or adjustments are handled quickly if ever needed.
Yes. Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) therapy is included in our full arch implant protocol. PRF uses your own blood platelets to accelerate healing and improve osseointegration. This is not offered at most dental practices on Long Island.
