Ridge Augmentation

Have you noticed that your denture keeps getting loose over time? Or your facial features are changing around the area where you have no teeth? When teeth have been missing for a while, bone has a tendency of resorbing or disappearing. This is why your dentures become loose overtime or even causing your facial profile to change. To stop this from happening, you NEED dental implants. Before implants can be placed, bone needs to be present. Implants have to be surrounded by bone at all times, and if bone is not there, ridge augmentation is needed.

Ridge augmentation is a type of procedure that needs bone grafting to build up the bone that you lost. We numb you up the same way you would get a filling! Bone grafting and membranes are used to build up the bone in the area you need for an implant. You go to the work the same day with minimal discomfort! You will NEVER be without teeth. Your denture will be adjusted the SAME day to fit over the area. After a period of healing, typically about 3-4 months, the site is ready for an implant.

While most procedures are done with just local anesthetics, nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and sedation is always available for anxious patients. All procedures are done by our board certified periodontist. Our dentist in our state of the art facility always uses the most advanced technology including instantaneous, comfortable digital X-rays. Each treatment room is equipped with high definition flat screen televisions and with WiFi accessibility to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
