Implant Supported Temporary Bridge

Most of the time when someone is going through the process of getting dental implants, they will go through more than one surgery. After the implants fuse with the bone, the dentist will make an incision in the gums to expose the top of each implant. To ensure that the gums heal properly, a cap may be placed on top of the exposed implant. After this is done, they will place a collar on the area, until the next visit when you receive an implant supported temporary bridge.

These bridges are help in place with either cement or screws and they’re attached to the implant or an abutment. These bridges need to stay in place for four to eight weeks. It needs to be cleaned regularly, especially in between the gum and the bridge.
