Dr. Eric Weinstein, D.D.S., Restorative and Cosmetic Dentist
The son of a 50-year veteran in the field of dentistry, Eric Weinstein, D.D.S., P.C. had a passion for dentistry that began in his early childhood. With the expansion of his dental practice he moved into his current state-of-the-art location across the street at 639 Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square.
Drawing on the vast knowledge he attained during numerous hours of continuing education, he established a patient-centered practice that incorporates the latest technology and most current techniques in dental care. Working together with his Board-Certified Periodontist and his Orthodontist, Dr. Weinstein is proud to offer patients complete dental care under one roof.
In 2011, after 20 years in private practice, he and his partner opened Shine Dental Associates of the North Shore, located at 400 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset. His attention to detail and knowledge of interior design greatly contributed to the creation of a luxurious masterpiece in the North Shore of Long Island.
Dr. Weinstein’s participation in many dental societies, his thirst for advancing his dental career, and his genuine chair-side manner make him an outstanding clinician and exceptional member of the dental community. He maintains his attending position as part of the medical staff at North Shore University Hospital at Franklin Medical Center in Franklin Square, NY.
His compassion for elderly and homebound individuals prompted Dr. Weinstein to establish the Visiting Dental Care of New York division of his practice, which provides patients with dental care in their homes. He visits hospitals, extended care facilities, residences, and nursing homes to provide all types of dental services at the convenience of his patients and their caregivers.
Dr. Weinstein’s dedicated staff has been with him since he first began in private practice, and they support his endeavors to create smiles that last a lifetime and to make it affordable for patients to receive the care they want and deserve.

While between work, continuing education, and charitable events, down time is hard to come by;when free time does present itself, Ms. Dave enjoys working out, traveling, skiing and most importantly, family time.
What Patients Are Saying…
“AMAZING.” From the moment I step onto Island Dental Associates, I felt a warm environment from the front desk as well as from the people waiting to be seen. I took notice how organize, attentive, professional their front desk employees were while they accommodated me. Thank you, Johnathan, and Priscilla. Then I met two of his assistant, they seem to be very knowledgeable, caring and on point at preparing me for Dr. Weinstein. Thank you, Jasmine and G. I proceeded to meet Dr. Weinstein, “WOW” he was so in tune to what I was thinking, what I wanted and need as soon as I started to speak, how observant. He was so honest, patient and knowledgeable. I can tell his work came from the heart. Dr. Weinstein (Owner) showed me his onsite lab where I met and observed one of his technicians, taking such care, while molding someone product to be finish as though it was a priceless jewel. His technician shared with me how he could customize my product, to my needs while giving me a form of security through open communication. Thank you, Ricky.
My work has been started, and a lot have been accomplished “LOVE IT!” – Vicky Mcdonald
“I have NEVER been comfortable going to the dentist, mostly because I have never trusted who I was being treated by. I always felt like a thing instead of a patient or person. Not so here. From the time I walk in and am greeted by some great people at the front desk to the time I leave , I always feel comfortable even though the situations for my visits usually aren’t. In the past with other practices I would have just left just out of fear. Not here. I have met three dentists here Dr’s. Weinstein, Acopian and Patel. All three have always made me feel at ease and safe. Because of that I decided after many years to go ahead and go through a major reconstruction on my upper that involves many visits. I’m only a part of the way completed and am quite pleased with the results so far. When I need to go in for my regular cleanings, all of the staff are so outgoing and truly care about my comfort and end results. I really couldn’t be happier anywhere else. Because of the Fantastic care I have been receiving over the past four years as a patient here, my wife and mother-in-law are also now patients. Thank You for Everything!” – Keith Koch
“I really like this place. They’re very kind and funny especially the receptionists whereas every other dental place ive been to they have been so rude. Dr. Gupta is awesome and the hygenist here named Meera was great. Its clean, doesnt smell like a normal dentist office much and i love watching animal planet while i get work done on my teeth!!!! Haha good place hit it up people!” – Dritan Celaj
“I am the last person to write a review because I do not usually like doctors or dentists but was this place was a pleasant surprise. The dentist and his staff could not be any more personable and friendly. Truly a wonderful group of people and I feel so relieved I found my new permanent dentist. That being said the cost for the services I needed is 1/3 the price I got from my last dentist, literally saving me thousands of dollars. I wish I had come here sooner!” – Fred Blanck
“Because I took medication that stained at pitted my teeth, I was always embarrassed of my teeth, UNTIL I met Dr. Weinstein and his staff at Island Dental. I have been seeing them for over 20 years. The staff is always cheerful, and ready to help. Emergencies are never a problem, and I no longer dread going to the dentist. If you have any of these issues, PLEASE go see Dr. Weinstein and his staff at Island Dental. You will be more than pleasantly surprised. Thanks Dr. Weinstein.” – James Peitz
“The best dentists, ample parking, office runs efficiently so there is no excessive waiting. Our entire family has used them for over 10 years and we’ve never thought of switching. That says a lot. Highly recommend (I’d better be careful, after this review the office may get too crowded! lol)” – Allison Bruce
“Very calm and easy experience. I am not a fan of going to the dentist but I didn’t have an issue with a thing at island dental. Best part of this practice is by far the morale and positive attitude exuded by each and every employee there! Everybody has a smile and makes you feel good and right at home. Best experience at a dentist office in my life hands down.” – Eddie Freedman

“I had a broken wisdom tooth and since I recently moved to the area and didn’t have a dentist yet I called Island Dental. They were able to get me in and actually called me back because they were running late and didn’t want me sitting waiting. I saw Dr Gupta and he showed me what was going on with my tooth and recomended it be removed. He was very proffessional and has a good sense of humor. He was very good giving novacaine, I didn’t even feel it. He let my wife know in the waiting room how long I would be and went over all the instructions when he was done. The next day the office called to see how I was doing and o call them if I needed anything. I found myself a dentist and will be scheduling my cleanings. I recommend them to anyone who needs a dentist.” – Frank LaManna
“Wonderful experience! I saw the dental hygienist Rob and he was so kind and caring. I have severe dental phobia and was pleasantly surprised at how patient and thorough he was with my concerns. He really knows his stuff! I highly recommend him. I wouldn’t trust my dental care to anyone else!” – Chantel Bailey
“AMAZING!!! Recently my dentist had retired. I was not thrilled with the dentist who took over his pratice. I found Island Dental through a friend and I went for a checkup and was floored by the level of knowledge and care that went into my cleaning. It was recommended that I get a scaling done. I have had this procedure before when I was in college and the pain was terrible. I was assure by Dr Weinstein that since I last had the procedure that it would not be painful. I was still uneasy about moving forward. I did and I am glad I did. Was the procedure 100% painless? No, but it was so much better than the first time. Thank you Island Dental and Thank you Dr. Weinstein…” – Rich Bernich
“The best experience at the dentist. I am the biggest coward but not anymore thanks to the staff and Dr. Weinstein. A lab on premise all under one roof.” – Rosalie Trofemuk
