Acrylic Partials

Acrylic Partials

Acrylic partial dentures are a temporary dental solution, as a replacement for missing teeth. It can be made with metal, gum colored or clear clasps.

If you are missing several teeth due to trauma or decay, acrylic partial dentures can serve as a temporary solution before you undergo more extensive treatment, such as dental implants, dentures, or a dental bridge.

Acrylic dental partials are affordable material and are a less expensive option while waiting for your dentures. Because acrylic partials are a temporary solution they can be easily discarded when they are no longer needed without a major cost. Another advantage of acrylic partials is that, when needed, more teeth can always be added to the partial. This may happen when you have plans to remove more teeth in the future. If that occurs, acrylic partials can simply be altered to include the necessary teeth without having to remake a new partial.

Acrylic, as a material, tends to be brittle. Accordingly, you need to be careful when you remove your partial so it doesn’t break.
