Steps To Your New Smile

After your complimentary consultation, your journey to a new smile begins with a consultative evaluation by the dentists at Island Dental Associates. This is to make sure that you are a good candidate and this dental implant procedure is the right one for you. The consultation will include a full dental exam, 3-D digital impressions for a temporary bridge and a comprehensive plan for treatment. Afterwards, and if you are a candidate, an appointment will be made for your procedure.

During your procedure, your dentist will place your dental implants, along with a temporary restoration, so that your implants can fuse into your jawbone and you can heal.

While your healing takes place you will have two to three follow-up appointments with your dentist to check the progress of your healing. Approximately four to six months after your implants have been placed and you have healed, you will return to the office where you fill be fitted for your permanent and new smile made with all porcelain Zirconia. There may be a few short follow-up appointments after your dental implant fitting so that your restored smile looks and functions properly.
